Where would you like to browse?
The Library is designed as a modern whisky archive: quick to scan, easy to search, and inviting enough for both new tasters and longtime Scotch fans.
Main Whisky Library
The Scotch-first core collection: approachable classics, benchmark drams, regional examples, and bottles useful for tastings and comparison.
Collector’s Shelf
Rare, older, limited, unusual, discontinued, single-cask, and collectible bottles that should be kept apart from the main educational shelf.
Music to Sip By
A listening shelf for atmosphere, reflection, and the kind of evening where a good dram and the right music belong together.
American Whiskies
Bourbon, rye, American single malt, and other American whiskey styles will eventually live on a separate shelf.
Japanese Whisky
A future shelf for Japanese distilleries, blends, single malts, and world whisky comparisons.
World Whiskies
Indian, Australian, Irish, Canadian, Taiwanese, European, and other world whiskies can be added after the Scotch-first library is stable.
New Releases
A future shelf for bottles released within the last three years, separated from the main Scotch and collector lists.
Bookshelf
A home for Tales from Loch Awe, The Last Pint Inn, whisky reading, story projects, and the literary side of the OSWS world.
My Shelf
A future personal shelf where visitors can bookmark bottles, build tasting lists, and return to drams they want to try again.
Built in stages, not all at once.
Start at the Circulation Desk in the Main Library. Then choose the section you would like to browse. Find the shelf that catches your interest. Then enjoy a dram while listening to Scottish inspired music or read a short story about Scotland.
